“….—!!?!” Looking over the collar of the trench coat into the ray of light shining forth, the fiery young male was daunted; hearing of what could of been that voice in which was so familiar—so authentic it was often the reason his heart skipped a beat or two. “..Serah?” His voice slowly catching up with him, whispering in a desperate outreach as it lightly trailed into the distance. Maneuvering his body to face the voice, Snow’s features instantly lit up equally to the sun rays that beamed down on his scruff visage. “Serah!! I-It is you! Ha ha!!”

Serah had longed to see the blonde for so long, the happiness radiating from the male made her own smile seem to grow even larger. This moment seemed straight out of a fairy tale for the girl, she was finally reunited with her hero. “I missed you so much.” There was so much she wanted to say, so much she wanted to ask from the male. Her head was spinning, but she had enough focus to hug the male tightly. She had never felt so happy, being back in the male’s arms was the best place for the girl. She couldn’t get any more words to form or pass her lips, so instead she glanced up at the male and gave him another smile. “It’s really you.”

“Hey now.. Of course it’s me! Who else could fit the mantle of your hero, huh?” The male parted the embrace, giving the pinkette a sly wink of his own. A sigh of relief brushed through his lips as a gloved hand made refuge into one of her tiny hands. “I missed you as well..—Serah.”

Keeping a hold of his whimsical grin, subtly taking her standoffish approach in a more humorous fashion. “Heh.. —Hello to you too, Lightning.” Waving to her blindly as her back was turned to him. An exhale blew through his nostrils, as a quick chuckle followed simultaneously.

In his usual upbeat demeanor, the male pounded a clenched fist into his open palm; feeling quite amped up to finally get it in gear and complete his Focus. “Alright! I’ll crush them all. Leave it to me, Lightning!”

She just stared at him for a few moments, not a word passed from her lips as acted like his normal, cocky self. Did he not realize just how severe things had gotten? How could he be acting like everything was just fine?! “Snow…you really are stupid aren’t you?” she spoke, her voice almost venomous.

“These enemies won’t be like the monsters back home. These are l’cie! They don’t care about anything…no matter how much damage they take they will still be relentless, are you ready for that?” she took at step forward, her harsh sapphires meeting his own orbs. “Serah is gone…and because of these monsters, because of what WE are.”

She halted, her eyes closing tightly, her hand going over her heart and clinching. Her only sibling…Serah, she was frozen in crystal. She had promised her parents to take care of her…and look what had happened. As much as she wanted to push her mind from blaming her self onto blaming the big male before her, she couldn’t. “We don’t even know what our damn focus is…”

“It’s easy.” Standing shoulder to shoulder, as he approached the stern pinkette while she engaged herself into a more private contemplation. “To save Cocoon! It’s gotta be the our Focus, come on! —Think about it!” His voice stricken with the most reassurance, as azure irises helped scanned the horizons of the icy ruins of Lake Brusha. Nodding to himself, quaking a grin upon his features. “Serah said so herself, didn’t she?”
